Impacting the World Together
Whenever you choose to travel with Pink Experience Bhutan, you are not just choosing a holiday in Bhutan but being a part of a movement that supports women and strengthen communities with us in changing lives through Pink Project. This trip gives you the opportunity to support other women. Our goal is to help women by supporting our women guides and drivers, and independently owned women businesses doing dome stays and the community at large.
Pink Project Fund
From every Guest Pink Experience handle, we will pull out $30 to Pink Project fund. Plus 10% of our profits from Pink Experience will annually fund this project. Further, any contribution we receive from our Guests will also go in the fund.
100% of these contributions will go in aid without any administrative costs. Pink Experience Team will provide free labor-of-love and full dedication in evaluating, administration and other works.
Empowerment of Women & Girls
When you choose to travel with us, you will bring changes in these women’s life. Depending on the fund generated, any one kind of scholarship will be picked up.
For Young Girls
We’ll fund one or more girl child who cannot afford college education. Those who have passed with at least 50% in their BCSC examination and genuinely could not afford education will be given a chance to continue their studies in any course of their of interest at Royal Thimphu Collage. Their three consecutive year’s fee to undergo any undergraduate course will be fully borne by Pink Project Fund. Upon completion of their studies, the beneficiary may be absorbed as full time employee based on their interest and vacancy.
Annually, we will sponsor one or more Single Mothers based on the available fund to undergo Bhutan Tourists Guide License Course. They should have completed at least a High School. This scholarship will be provided to the one who is adventurous and love to travel; great in story-telling; caring and hospitable; and love to kick-start a career as tour guide. On the completion of their course, she could choose to work with Pink Experience. Currently this course cost about $600 per person
Community Development Programs
With available funds in hand, we will work towards improving the lives of the nuns at the nunnery center by funding a female tutor who has bachelors in English to teach Basic English for two hours at least thrice a week. This will not only enable nuns to communicate with others but would also help them give basic teachings in English. Minimal charge for the tutor would be around $120 a month.
